Over the weekend I got to experience my first D Con. A convention on designers toys, exclusives, apparel, and art. Surrounding myself with the PFOM crew who are not new to this, we set out forth to set up shop and rep. Silent Stage x Angry Woebot had their own booth as well as Ronin Gallery. It was good to see the ins and outs of the toy scene and learn how the market works. Also meeting and learning about the artist behind the toys and designs. Seeing how some releases blew out the water with peops in line certainly tells you cats are up on their toy collecting. An example of a successful release was the Joe Ledbetter “Terror and Magmus” toy produced by The Loyal Subjects. It was impressive to see a lot of dope art under one roof. Now to research on how we can come with our own exclusives to shock the masses next year!! Big thangs crushing for 2010!!

I have nothing but love and respect for artist who are true to they art. When they push to find different avenues to get promo and market themselves because they truly believe they have something to offer. If you got hot shit, then you want to spread that fire. Rob Jay is a prime example of someone trying to get out to the masses bubbling all over the net. He personally contacted me to catch a plug on the site. I first got a ear of him on the Arize Magazines “The Fresh Picks Mixtape” with his single “Directors Chair”. Especially…when he verses “I only date actresses with they SAG cards” is something I can relate to. Bigs ups to the Houston native emcee on the move up….look out for cat!!
