Ever since I got handed a cd called Fried Chicken & Watermelon, I must admit, it was not even getting my time a day. I guess I judged a cd by its cover where it was a low budget artwork layout and thought it was gonna be wack. A few months later it surfaced somehow outta my messy ass car and I gave it a ear finally. Sleeping heavily I was, but really came to recognize the duo from Inglewood sure had that new profound sound of LA hip hop. The album quickly grew on me and became my top albums in rotation. I’m now a fan and these dudes are really going at it on the independent tip as most artist are now doing. Controlling their own destiny as it should be.
